At Hearts in Motion we believe in the power of dance. We believe in the way dance can make you feel. We believe in the magic of a tiny little dancer who puts on their first pair of dance shoes or poofy pink tutu just as we believe in the magic of a dancer who flies through the air leaping across the floor. We believe that dance should be fun, fanciful, happy, and magical. We believe that every child can and should dance. We believe in building strength and confidence through dance and fostering a LOVE for the art of dance.
If your child is interested in dancing, you've found the right place! At Hearts in Motion we offer many different styles, levels and age groups. Beginning at age 2, we offer drop-ins, school year classes and mini sessions. Presenting both a Christmas and Spring recital gives your child a chance to experience the joy of performing on a stage twice a year! Our qualified instructors ensure that your child will learn proper dance technique and have fun doing it!

Why choose us?
With so many dance studios to choose from in West Michigan, you may wonder: why choose Hearts in Motion? Here are some of the top reasons why we believe you should choose our studio to become your studio!
We are committed to providing you and your dancers with age appropriate costuming and choreography. We strongly believe in letting kids be kids! We want them to be dressed and dancing that way at all times!
With both a Christmas and Spring recital, we give your dancers at least two opportunities to perform, one of the most fun and exciting parts of the performing arts!
We have passionate and caring teachers who are committed to their students and their own continuing education to bring the best to your dancers!
While your child will have the opportunity to join a dance team if that is something they are interested in, we also have just as high of a focus on our recreational program. Every students at Hearts in Motion feels like a special and important part of the studio!
We are family friendly! Not only do we provide a welcoming and magical environment for your dancer; we also provide a spacious and comfortable lobby for our families with complimentary wi-fi and a playroom with a television for little ones who are waiting for the siblings to finish dance!
School year registration is now closed but we have availability in a few select classes! Check out our Wednesday night Acro ages 5-9!
Weather Related Closing Policy
With Michigan Winters being so unpredictable, we do have a closing policy we adhere to. If Northview Public Schools are closed for a Snow Day, we will also be closed that morning. We will then re-evaluate or closing for the afternoon by 1:30pm that afternoon. Just because school is closed does not mean we will be closed in the afternoon. All classes have one snow day worked into our season. For anything beyond one snow day in a given class, we will offer snowday makeups in another appropriately leveled class. In the event of a snowday, we will send an email, post on our public and private Facebook, and post on WZZM13.
Hearts in Motion was created in 2010 with one simple goal in mind: to create a dance studio that offers the opportunity for all students to enjoy dance.
We started by offering drop-in classes on Saturdays, testing out to see whether or not they would be well received. It started out slow but by December of 2010 there was a pretty regular group of dance class attendees and we were asked to perform at a Christmas Party hosted by Amway. Our performance of the Grinch was a big hit! From then on the program began to grow at a pretty exciting rate. We offered our first annual recital in Spring of 2011 with 30 participants.
After that, we hit more and more exciting milestones. Drop-ins began to grow, we began offering short mini-sessions during the week, sold out a recital at Wealthy Theatre and finally, outgrew our temporary location and were able to acquire our own!
Summer of 2015 we moved to a much larger facility where we have three professionally sprung dance floors, a large waiting room, a playroom/birthday party room, and a dressing room. We have been able to hire a wonderful and professional staff. We attended our first competition in 2014 and now have over 50 members on our competition teams that also perform throughout the community (we have performed at a Drive and a Griffins game). We have even attended performance opportunities at Disney World in 2015 and 2017! We continue to do all of these things while still focusing on our dancers and families, making our studio a family friendly community for everyone! Are you ready to grow with us and see what milestone we'll hit next? We would love for you to be a part of it; keep reading on and get ready for the excitement of joining our program!
